Camariñas is an excellent starting point for several excursions to discover the Costa da Morte.

One of them is shown here on the website. At the Hostal we can provide you with detailed information about all the excursions.

From the port of Camariñas, make your way towards the Faro (lighthouse) at Cabo Vilán.

Before you get to the lighthouse, you will come across a vantage point from where you can view the entrance to the Camariñas Ría, with the Capilla de la Virgen del Monte (chapel) on one side and Muxía on the other.

After leaving the lighthouse, turn left and follow the road to the beaches of Reira, the Cementerio de los Ingleses, (English Cemetery), and Area Trece where you will find the largest sand dune in Europe-Monte Blanco.

Continuing along this route, you can visit the seafaring villages of Santa Mariña, Arou and Camelle-also known for the German Museum of Camelle.

Now on the way back to Camariñas, and to round off the excursion, you will pass through the villages of Ponte do Porto and Xaviña.
